Pipit Firmanti, a doctoral (S3) student in Elementary Education Class of 2024, served as a resource person for the Mathematics Seminar Series organised by the Student Association (HIMA) of Mathematics Education at the Indonesian Technocrat University (UTI). This seminar carries the theme "Breaking the Boundaries of Logic: Computational Thinking in Mathematics Learning," a topic relevant to the demands of high-level thinking skills in the digital age.
The seminar activity was held virtually via the Zoom platform on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 WIB. Seminar participants were enthusiastic third-semester students from the UTI Mathematics Education Study Program who actively followed the material presentations and discussion sessions.
In her presentation, Pipit Firmanti emphasised the importance of computational thinking as a fundamental skill that needs to be taught from an early age in mathematics learning. She explained that this ability not only helps students understand mathematical concepts more structurally but also prepares them to face complex problem-solving challenges in the future.
The seminar went smoothly and received positive feedback from all participants. The enthusiasm was evident from the large number of questions asked during the discussion session, indicating students' interest in applying computational thinking in modern learning processes. The organisers hope this activity can be a catalyst for students to continue developing their insights and innovations in the world of mathematics education.
